Protolight’s work brightens the new Chicago Architecture Center
For weeks leading up to its grand opening, the Protolight team was hard at work at the new Chicago Architecture Center, prepping lighting in the space so it could open to the public.
Working together with Lightswitch Design, our project team installed LED lighting from Ketra using additional equipment from Electronic Theatre Controls, including Paradigm Architectural Control and Mosaic Show Controller.
The CAC features scale models of the world’s tallest buildings, which are now illuminated by dozens of Ketra lamps prepped, installed, and programmed by Protolight technicians.
A visitor favorite, the Chicago Gallery, displays a model of the city (pictured below) which comes alive via lighting and projection to depict the destruction of the Great Chicago Fire. Protolight was also integral in lighting the new retail space of the Center.
